长期从事铁路工程领域动力学与振动控制研究
在经典的车辆动力学和轨道动力学基础上，创建了机车车辆－轨道耦合动力学理论体系
主持研究建立了列车－轨道－桥梁动力相互作用理论。
1959～1961年，提出了适合于大系统动力分析的快速数值积分方法。
1962～1969年，开发了高速列车过桥动态模拟与安全评估系统。
